True to my word

I’m back for more catch up:

We spent A LOT of time this summer at the pool. How I managed to do it with all 4 kids is beyond me. The girls LOVED it. So much so, that they taught themselves how to swim and dive-well jump-off the board.

As much time as we spent at the pool you’d think I’d have more pictures, but watching 4 kids AND taking pics is probably borderline DCFS material.

No pictures of Abby, but she was there jumping and swimming too.

Now that Jared works in the city we know more of some of the fun stuff going on. Like the filming of Transformers 3. They wouldn’t allow any pictures, but we snuck a quick one. Albeit  a poor one. You get the idea, lots of destruction.

Met some famous people-

Hung out at some cool places

Ate  a lot of cupcakes during CupCakeCrawl Part2 with my friends Kris and Christina (this is worthy of many pictures).

Sugar Bliss                               More                                          Sprinkles

Sweet Mandy B’s                    Molly’s                                  Swirlz (no pic)

Do you love that shirt my friend made? Cupcake or Die? I wear it all the time. Thanks D!!

And because swings in cupcakeries are cool

An eyeball. Could it be the next “bean”?

Met my family in Nauvoo for some prairie time fun-

Some more fam . . .

Pioneer BriBri                    Bubby, in an apron hat    Leeshie-watch out Ma Ingalls

Started school-

All smiles. For now.

Then reality hit. Once the got in their lines Abby was NOT thrilled. The tears started brimming and she had to hold her teachers hand and walk in together.

Emma was all “been there done that”

Grew a garden-

Gear up for round 3.

Put away the pitchforks and torches . . .

I’m back to the blog. Constant emails, texts, phone calls . . . it worked. I never meant to avoid it for 7 months-maybe 2 or 3- but I was lazy. And busy. But mostly lazy.

Let’s play a little catch up shall we? (You’ll have to forget about months March and April. Pics on my old laptop and therefore can’t remember a thing that happened.)

In May we lost a dear member of the family. Sally Forth passed away one afternoon while I was picking the kids up from school.  Cause unknown. There was a small service held. One at which they cried and I laughed.

Abby played soccer in the spring . . .

. . and in the fall. (Played her last game this past Saturday.)

The girls made some pinewood derby cars.

Lily fell asleep standing up. (1:30 church is killer.)

Emma “graduated” on to Brownies

Lily felt the need to participate and Abby and her fellow Daisy held the flag.

I made cupcake. Of the snickerdoodle variety.

I’ll wait while you wipe the drool from your mouth.

A HUGE moment came this last summer when Lily decided no more diapers. All it took was a little white lie,(“oops we ran out of diapers”) and a bribe of silly bandz.

We went camping with some really great friends.

Jared’s eye patch? Well that was a result of him defending our friend’s food from a raccoon in the wee hours of the morning.

Celebrated the 4th of July with friends, fireworks, food and, of course, a rowdy parade.

Stay tuned for more when Ferg goes back to sleep.  Or in another 7  months. Whichever comes first.

Also, let the record state that I tried over, and over. And over. Again to get the pictures above to line up straight. Whatever. You’re all just happy to see the cobwebs cleared from the blog.

Surfer Ferg

Forgot the best picture in my Dells post. Ferg in his shorts. Adorable, eh? This lady kept trying to convince me to throw him in the water. For real. Umm, hello? This child is 2 months old. He’s only wearing the shorts so he doesn’t feel excluded from all the other swimmers. He’s not going to actually use them.

Wisconsin Dells

Monday, April 5th, 2010

I’m trying to play some serious catch up here. You know you love it. 239847 posts in one night. :)

Ahhh spring break. Jared took some days off work and we hit the road to Wisconsin Dells. Waterpark capital of the world!!!!

A quick stop for some fine eatin’. (McDonalds. Again. Blahhh)

When we got to our hotel the girls were so excited with their room. Jared went to get the rest of the stuff from the car, I sat down to feed the boy and the girls went immediately to their room and got their pajamas on. So much for hitting the waterpark that night. All they wanted to do was sleep in that amazing room. And how could you not with Zeus hanging over your bed. Of course after the novelty of their room wore off they were up at 3:30 in the morning watching TV rearing to go. For reals. I just said 3:30 am!

The lazy river

Lily and Jared flying out of a waterslide

And speaking of waterslides. I’m not a fan of enclosed slides. At all.

Girls with guns . . .

On our way home Lily was SO exhausted she couldn’t even finish her pretzel stick.

Bye Wisconsin Dells. We’ll be back soon!

Just Hangin’ Out Together

Jared’s Dad and Stepmom came out to visit us a few weeks ago. The girls love when family comes to visit. (*hint hint*)
